How do I recognize an email from Ultimoo Incasso?
Check, check, and double-check! It is vital that you know how to spot a fraudulent email. Below are several common indicators:
- The email address is unknown, or it may closely resemble our actual address: @ultimoo.nl. Pay close attention to what follows the @ symbol. The deviation can be minimal, such as a letter replaced by a number (e.g., ultim00.nl instead of ultimoo.nl).
- The email address may be entirely faked. This is known as "spoofing."
- The message has landed in your spam or junk folder.
- The message is often impersonal: for example, it may say "Good morning" or "Dear Sir/Madam," or the salutation may be missing entirely.
- It plays on your emotions. Fraudsters may try to intimidate you, use threats, or create a false sense of urgency, leaving you very little time to respond.
- The message often contains grammatical errors and typos.
- The message contains suspicious links. By hovering your mouse over a link, you can see the actual web address it points to.
